One of the world's finest youth orchestras which each year draws together over
150 talented musicians, aged between 13 and 19 years, from all over
the UK. Its aim is that any young person who is eligible to audition
for the Orchestra knows how and when to apply and that no-one is
deterred from applying for financial reasons. A fund is used to
support 40 to 60 young people who cannot afford the course fees
and the Foundation's support will provide full bursaries –
which will also cover travel costs to the residential courses –
for ten young musicians from all over the UK.
