Maximises the quality of life for terminally ill children, their families and all who are special to them. Each year, the hospice helps about 200 chronically sick, terminally ill children, and a further 100 bereaved families. Services include palliative care and symptom control, respite care in the hospices, outreach nursing in the children's own homes, and emotional and practical support. It also shares its specialist knowledge and experience with other professionals, to encourage 'best practice'.
