About us

Hilton in the Community Foundation wants to help young people have a better future. By improving access to education and improving of health care for young people, we seek to make a big difference.

Under our banner of "creating brighter futures for young people", within the remits of education and health, HCF has a particular focus on the following target groups:

• Children and young people
• Children and young people who are disabled in hospital
• Young people who are homeless
• Young people and children who are life limited

Registered as an independent charity, no. 1084220 (England and Wales) and 038995 (Scotland), HCF fundraises and makes grants across Europe. It has an independent Board of Trustees and Grants Committee comprised of independent as well as senior Hilton personnel.

A large proportion of HCF’s income is generated through fundraising initiatives run by team members of Hilton Worldwide across Europe. By promoting and harnessing the charitable goodwill in the team, our suppliers and guests, HCF fosters the energy and commitment of individual supporters and in turn is able to ensure that those most in need benefit 100% from the grants made.

The Foundation's core costs are funded by Hilton Worldwide, so every net pound or euro raised goes directly to good causes. Donations are funded almost entirely through the generous efforts and contributions of team members, family and friends and with the support of guests and company suppliers. Since its establishment in November 2000 the Foundation has raised over £12 million for charity.

Please note that Hilton in the Community Foundation is a separate charity from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, which is based in the USA. Although both organisations carry out charitable activities and have Hilton in their name we are not affiliated in any way.
