Around the World in a Day is a community event organised by
Hilton in the Community Foundation and hosted by Hilton
Hotels. Those participating will be raising funds for a nominated
local charity, cause or school selected by the hosting hotel.
So far, Around the World in a Day has supported 64 children’s
charities. Local grants include those made to:
- Winston’s Wish to help fund residential group-work
programmes for bereaved children at Camp Winston
- Scottish Burned Children’s Club to support confidence building
activities for children and young people who have
suffered serious burns and scalds
- Starlight Children’s Foundation to fund wishes for children
with life limiting or serious illnesses
- Dogs for the Disabled to provide training and placement of
assistance dogs with disabled children.
